The Côte d'Azur, or French Riviera which stretches from Toulon to Menton, is pampered by a nearly tropical climate. The azure waters and indigo skys attract the more discerning travelers from all over the world. The Côte d'Azur coastline is complemented by mountains and deep gorges known as the arrière-pays, which means back-country.
